The Federated Missionary Organization, using the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. small groups model, was birthed on October 29 1944 under the pastorate of Dr. C. C. Scott. The objective of FMO is to foster global mission education and to serve as a connecting resource to various community agencies whose purpose is to service the poor, the incarcerated and their families and those who live in the margins of society.

§ CARITAS (Congregations around
§ Clothes Closet is opened to the residents of
§ In partnership with Southern Baptist, we host a Christmas Store for no income to low-income residents of Highland Park Community to shop for children’s toys and clothing.
§ Elizabeth Project, which runs from March to May of each year, is a ministry designed to teach teen mothers how to take care of themselves and their babies during and after their pregnancy, i.e., healthy eating habits, importance of prenatal care, what to expect at delivery, etc.
§ Financial Assistance (Benevolence) assist the residents who live in the 23222 and 23223 zip codes and FSBC congregation, when available, with utilities and rental assistance.
§ Food Pantry provides, during office hours, individuals and families seeking assistance with enough food to eat for a couple days.
§ One hundred (100) Thanksgiving Baskets are distributed to needy families identified in
§ IMPACT is the educational component of FSBC Prison ministry. Its emphasis is on the families of those incarcerated and preparing the families and FSBC congregation for those returning back to the community.
§ FSBC, in partnership with Prison Ministry Fellowship, sponsors children of incarcerated parents in the
The Golden Years offers seniors 55 and over education, recreation, fellowship and friendship. Since 1983, the Golden years have enjoyed Tuesday morning Bible study and bi-weekly meetings, shopping, touring, luncheons, plays, etc. If you would like to join this spirit-filled group please contact Sister Gracie Gibson.
